In truth, I could fill an entire book with pictures of friends.  That has been my one consistent delightful blessing throughout my entire life.  I don't remember, but I'm sure I shared nursery space with some slap happy newborns!  These friends have carried me over bridges that I might have stumbled over by myself.  I have boxes of letters I just can't bring myself to part with.  Someday maybe I'll excerpt them and make another book.

I love to meet new people all over the place.  I love to imagine living next door to them or taking a trek to Nepal with them.  Surely given the right circumstances we could all be good friends, right?  That is a theory I would like to test.  Perhaps my definition of an eternity well-spent would be to be given a large expanse of time in which to live next door to all of my favorite people!

My friends span the globe and fit into all kinds of economic categories.  I have had wonderful friends who are old enough to be my grandmother!  And I've been delighted by making friends with students to whom I have answered when called "Teacher!"  My friends make me laugh...They have all flavored my story and added a unique taste.  Huzzah for friends...

Jerry and I spent three years of our life teaching English to Chinese university students as part of BYU China Teachers. Our adventures were many and colorful.  We were greatly changed and so so privileged to know and love so many--both Chinese and our fellow American teachers.  This experience doesn't deserve just a chapter.  It deserves a book.  So I will save the stories and my best pictures for that book.
